You may have stumbled upon the news of the very first wedding proposal in the history of the Philippine Congress. Congressman Ashley Acedillo made a wedding proposal to his girlfriend Maria Paz Ocampo during a session last September 2013. They finally tied the knot.
A little back story since the whole country is still in Pacquiao high. Cong. Manny Pacquiao was supposed to be in this wedding but due his scheduled fight, he obviously could not make it so Ashley personally asked for a wedding gift instead — to win and knock Bradley out.
